Our Story
he brand's name comes from the verb to remember in Latin. Just like our creations, the verb is unique in its conjugation patterns and its usage often reflects a deeper understanding of actions and events in the past. It connects one with memories and experiences crucial for narrative and story contexts.As he is the fourth generation of craftsmen in his family, yet owns almost nothing to remember them, the founder of MEMINĔRŌ Studio always heard stories about his strong legacy without anything to touch or feel. What was not lost to time was destroyed and that absence became the seed of everything we do together now. Nowadays, in a world drowning in digital, we have unfortunately forgotten what it means to hold something real. Yet some things are still irreplaceable: the smell of home, the warm feeling you had when you saw that art piece, the texture and fabric a special object had.

We made ourselves the promise to always use the best materials available worldwide, by only working with certified Leather Working Group tanneries who supply the best grade and traceable hides. Our core fuel is honesty: no lies nor hidden details to anyone.

Sustainability
Considering the growing leather industry problem regarding its waste, MEMINĔRŌ Studio took the decision to use leather hides at their fullest potential. Instead of copying some brands by using cheap fabric and/or derivatives, while using the brand name as a value of quality, we made the decision to offer a real leather experience : leather lining and reinforcements, as it was since the early days of leather craft. To us, even the smallest cuts of leather have a purpose and will eventually become a key part of a product.

Design
To prevent leather wastage, every product is designed to use a smaller amount of leather or cuts compared to the industry. Additionally, the all-leather interior creates a rich tactile and olfactory experience, while also promoting a sense of responsibility. By using a dual-leather construction, where the exterior full-grain hide is bonded with “imperfect” interior hides, we are able to create a circular environment for our production. Using cosmetically flawed leather as internal lining allows waste to stream into structural value, while completely avoiding woven canvas, cotton or synthetic linings

Our partners are more than just suppliers, they are long-term relationships and fellow ambassadors of craftsmanship who share the same values as us. We chose to work with artisanal workshops that blend precision and skills in a small-batch production setup. Each product is continuously 100% quality-controlled to our high standards. To help us in our mission, we chose to partner with the Leather Cluster Barcelona, a private and non-profit association that represents the interests of the companies and agents in the leather industry. Working within this group allows us to improve our efficiency while also promoting the growth of joint businesses.
We have taken the decision to concentrate our supply chain in Catalonia, rather than other more affordable global hubs. This decision was driven by the heritage of the region, the technical precision of its tanneries and their certifications. Choosing Catalonia allows us to establish short supply chains and reduce our environmental footprint while highlighting one of the world’s best skills and craftsmanship regions.
